  • Overview

    Under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Supervisor the Food Scientist Intern works with seasoning vendors and Operations team on various formula and process enhancement projects, such as concentrated seasoning blends, adhesion system concept, DR seasonings.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Works with vendors to come up with 1 - 3 new seasonings that do not change or degrade flavor character in our DR process
    • Works with production to identify 1 - 3 current seasonings to have our vendor concentrate to decrease usage, but match flavor impact of current products.
    • Works on tack system concept proposal with possible use in our seasonings or on the nut.
      • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
      • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
      • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
      • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.





    • College degree work or advanced interest in Food Science.
