    The Maintenance Technician Intern will work with the Maintenance Techs and Manager on learning the dynamics of repairing and performing maintenance on various food processing equipment, systems and related controls.

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Troubleshoots and repairs processing equipment, systems, and related controls.
    • Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.
    • Works in fabricating as needed.
    • Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as needed.
    • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
    • Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
    • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
    • Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
    • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college offering a certification in maintenance studies.
    • Knowledge of electrical components and wiring.
    • Mechanical skills a plus.

      

     

    This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs.
