    JBSS is seeking a Marketing Intern on the Branded Marketing Team to gain experience in all aspects of marketing.  The Intern will have a unique opportunity to learn about brand marketing from initial consumer insight work through implementation.​

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Understand how insights translate into the development of products and redesigns.
    • Collaborate with Marketing Manager and take leadership role in major project to redesign a product line.
    • Learn time-line management by developing and monitoring a project time-line.
    • Develop sales collateral materials in support of product launches and redesigns.
    • Track competitive trends and monitor competitive activity.
    • Prepare and analyze Excel reports on the performance of marketing activity for key initiatives.​
    • Assist in writing and editing postings to internal website via SharePoint.​
    • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
    • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
    • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
    • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
    • Assist with and perform any other duties as needed or assigned by the Branded Marketing Team.


    • A background in marketing through studies or experience.
    • Team player with lots of initiative, curiosity, and a passion for marketing!
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Able to meet deadlines and think outside of the box; the more ideas, the better!
    • Attention to detail with a problem solving mentality.
    • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframes.
    • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Extremely well organized with ability to multitask.
    • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn practical marketing skills.
