  • Overview

    Utilizing a forklift, gather pallets with finished goods from warehouse floor and deliver to proper locations.  Some lifting required when changing cases from one pallet to another (average of 50 lbs.)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Rotates product from stock for proper stock rotation.
    • Picks orders at times.  Obtains a pick ticket.  Pulls orders from location where items are stored.
    • Verifies, counts, and writes on the pallet order number and customer name.
    • Takes order to shipping area with forklift.
    • Responsible for the accurate use of computerized radio control hand-held scanning equipment.
    • Responsible for the proper care of computerized radio control hand-held scanning equipment.
    • Assists in keeping warehouse clean and organized.  Sweeps, picks up trash, tapes up any open cases and organizes pallets.
    • Complete daily check of equipment (forklift) to maintain safety.
    • Observe safety rules, G.M.P.’s and attends appropriate training.
    • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
    • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
    • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
    • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
    • Performs any other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Read, write, and speak English.  Forklift driving experience and knowledge of safe forklift operation.

     

    Job Specific Requirements:

     

    In the event that the Forklift Driver is absent, the Department Manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.

     

    G.M.P. and Protective Wear.

     

    Hairnet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, bump cap, and mask as needed.
