  • Overview

    The Finished Goods Coordinator oversees the transfer of finished goods between plant and forward warehouse in a timely manner to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and assists the Logistics Manager in other projects in maximizing/optimizing Supply Chain efficiency.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Analyzes daily inventory reports, production schedules & customer demand to determine transfer needs throughout the supply chain with adequate lead time for production planning.
    • Provides daily load building out of Elgin facility to maximize use of transportation & warehouse resources.
    • Identifies, minimizes, and reports customer order shortages to Customer Services, Sales & Management.
    • Reviews monthly inventory reports to identify inefficient inventory and provide disposition to Sales group in order to meet company inventory targets and minimize expired inventory.
    • Is a supply chain resource for other departments.
    • Provides feedback for DRP data set-up in company database system.
      • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistency maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
      • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
      • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
      • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

    Qualifications

    Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

    • High School graduate or equivalent.
    • Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • One to three years of planning and inventory experience in a manufacturing or retail environment.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Knowledge of Supply Chain software & Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
    • Solid math aptitude skills.
    • Good communication skills and team attitude.
