  • Overview

    Responsible for systems and electronic machinery with little supervision.  Install and maintain electrical controls, automation, and systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Works on electronic scales, packaging equipment, and other electronic based systems.
    • Inspects, maintains, repairs, and installs electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
    • Inspects and troubleshoots electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices.
    • Reads and follows electrical schematics.
    • Reports and documents results of inspections and work performed.
    • Robotic palletizing maintenance.
    • Observes safety rules, GMP’s, and attends appropriate training.
    • Performs other duties as necessary.
    • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
    • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
    • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
    • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.


    Five plus years of experience in industrial controls and electrical.  Knowledge of electric circuits and control circuits.  Ability to use Electrician’s tools and electronic testing equipment.  High school diploma or equivalent required with technical education/training preferred.


    G.M.P. and Protective Wear


    Hairnet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, mask and other personal protective equipment as required for the task.


    Job Specific Requirements:


    In the event that the Electrical Technician is absent, the Department Manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.
