Responsible for procuring all maintenance supplies, machinery part, fabrication supplies, and tools necessary for the maintenance/engineering department. Assist in the management of the maintenance shop personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Purchase parts/supplies from the most appropriate vendor.
Obtain multiple quotes for non-standard equipment.
Follow purchasing requests through to completion.
Sourcing of the components needed to allow for timely delivery.
Keep all necessary supplies stocked to acceptable levels.
Follow all purchasing and paperwork requirements.
Follows all company safety and G.M.P.’s and attends appropriate training.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years of maintenance and purchasing experience. Computer skills to allow for all Purchasing requirements. English speaking, reading and writing skills required. Food industry experience with processing and packaging equipment preferred. Good communication skills and the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and vendors is necessary. Detailed oriented with good math skills.
