  • Overview

    The Junior Project Engineer provides support to the Senior Director of Engineering and all Staff Engineers.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for repetitive equipment purchasing activities including: setting up vendors, coordinating with vendors, processing purchase orders, payment of invoices, problem solving, releasing and scheduling trucking of equipment.
    • Assists in drawing, drawing processing and distribution for new parts and assemblies.
    • Request vendor quotations with direction from electrical and project engineers.
    • Responsible for defining, outlining settling-up, and maintaining engineering database.
    • Maintains shared contact database.
    • Organize and maintain engineering reference library.
    • Maintain project spending reports.
    • maintains and enters new sample requests in the R & D sample log.
      • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistency maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
      • Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
      • Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
      • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

    Qualifications

    Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills.
    • CAD/3D modeling proficiency.
    • Experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
    • Flexible skills in working with operations.
    • Solid phone skills.
    • Strong math aptitude.
