The Inventory Control Suupervisor will lead a small team that is responsible for inventory related reporting, work order processing and the coordination of physical inventories at the JBSS Operations facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining records of inventory and the quantity and location accuracy of individual products in warehouses and off-site locations.
  • Responsible for cycle counting program which includes counting all types of products of varying degreees of value.
  • Works to control costs through different avenues such as staff productivity, proper utilization of storage space, and proper protection of all stored materials.
  • Recommends fixes or replacements for equipment as needed
  • If there are product losses, the inventory control supervisor is in charge of creating and implementing a plan to correct the issue.
  • Responsible for reviewing work order discrepancies, the inventory control supervisor will assist or directly investigate the reason why.
  • Manages a small team of inventory contorl personnel.  this includes interviwing, hiring, and training new employees, as well as planning, assigning, and directing their team's work.
  • Provide support for data entry aspects of the company, including entering paper documentation into a computer database.
  • May be asked to receive shipments into computer database.
  • Must work efficiently and accurately and follow the guidelines and standards set forth by the company.
  • Will be responsible for performance reviews, addressing complaints, and finding solutions to any team-related problems.
  • Resposbile for ensuring the maintenance of FIFO on ingredients by performing regular audits of usage and reporting those results to appropriate personnel.
    • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirementsx.
    • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
    • Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
    • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.



  • high school diploma


  • 2 years experience as inventory control or related field.
