  • Overview

     

    The talent developmnet supervisor is responsible for training, coaching and development of all distribution/warehouse employees, including any employees operating material handling equipment within the facility.  This is NOT a Human Resources Recruiting position.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Hires, directs, motivates, trains, coaches and develops all distribution/warehouse employees, including performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
    • Conducts all material handling equipment testing of potential candidates and training of current employees.
    • Assists with the onboarding process of new hires, develops/reviews training programs and provides recommendations/updates as necessary.
    • Participates in continuous improvement projects and monitors efficiencies.
    • Provides recommendations on process improvement and efficiencies.
    • Ensures that proper procedures are followed for all aspects of distribution and warehouse, including inbound, material movement and outbound operation.
    • Master Warehouse Management System (WMS) and QAD. Has the ability to provide front-line support to problem solving, research of any issues that arise.
    • Follows and enforces all safety procedures and GMP guidelines.
    • Conducts meetings with employees on safety and other topics.

    Qualifications

    Education, Experience and Knowledge:

    ·         High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.

    ·         Two years of distribution experience.

     

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

    • Material handling equipment (Forklift) certification preferred.

     

    Skills and Competencies:

    ·         Must be goal oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment.

    ·         Must have excellent team building, project execution and communication skills.

    ·         Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

    ·         Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) preferred.
