Overview

The Retail Store Coordinator assists customers with merchandise selection, payment, and inventory replenishment; keeps store neat and clean.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates store operation in regards to: security, sales planning, cash/check/credit handling, customer problems and store sanitation.
  • Under managers supervision, coordinates store ordering, stock replenishmet, inventory control, product movement evaluation, merchandising, and pricing.
  • Ensures store is clean, organized and well stocked.
  • Processes sample requests including the procurement of inventory from finished goods warehouse and cooler.
  • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF rand regulatory requirements.

  • Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.

  • Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.

  • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
  • One or more years of retail experience required.
  • Computer skills

  • Register skills

  • Retail skills in food industry

  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

 

Job Specific Requirements

In the event that the Retail Store Coordinator is absent, the Department Manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.
