Overview

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, recording and controlling all receiving documents and orders.  The person in this position is also responsible for shipping, recording and controlling all shipping documents and orders internally and externally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all receiving and shipping documentation/records. Ensures orders and product is shipped/received complete. Follows up with customer solution, transportation, purchasing, vendors and other internal and external customers.
  • Ensures all employees are using proper documents. Ships/receives orders through the Warehouse Management System (WMS)/QAD system.
  • Schedules inbound and outbound appointments and makes follow-up calls as necessary. Covers the scale house operator or wave planner as needed.
  • Works closely with Inventory Control to ensure all receipts/shipments are correct and makes necessary adjustments.
  • Works on other projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Good math skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
