The Battery Cart operator changes and maintains all material handling equipment batteries. The battery cart operator also keeps the battery room clean and organized.
Duties and Responsibilities
Changes all equipment batteries in designated battery changing station.
Performs routine battery maintenance duties including, but not limited to: washing batteries, measuring current loads, measuring acid levels, performing load tests.
Maintains a clean, organized, and work area in compliance with corporate standards. Monitors battery room ensuring safety, work flow, and timely battery changes.
Spray paints minor equipment paint defects and performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
One year of distribution experience preferred.
Material handling equipment certification preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Extensive standing/walking on concrete floors.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs.
